To read websites in Japanese, you need to have Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5 or above. It is reported Netscape or other browser may not work occasionally. So no matter what kind of browser you usually use, it is required to have and use the Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5 or above for Japanese courses on-line at Mesa Community College. Please to follow the instruction below to see if your computer is ready for reading Japanese letters.
1) Download the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer (5.5 or above), if you have not.
2) Via Microsoft's Internet Explorer, please comeback to see if the following two lines that are typed in Japanese look identical (fonts may vary).

3) If they look different, change Encoding system by following the instruction below.
4) If not, contact e-mail at emiahn@mail.mc.maricopa.edu.
Visit Japanese sites such as www.asahi.com (for Asahi newspaper), www.yahoo.co.jp (for Yahoo Japan) to see if the characters shown there look like Japanese. If not, please repeat (3) above.
