WHO YOU ARE :

A responsible, self-motivated graduate of ENG 101, familiar with the conventions of standard edited American English, who is able to use Microsoft Word, work with graphics on a computer, send email using an MCC account, surf the Internet, visit libraries and learn outside a traditional classroom environment. You must also be prepared to collaborate with others as part of a team.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Computer with reliable Internet access and printer
  • MCC email account, user name and password
  • Microsoft Word (2000 version or later)
  • Markel's Technical Communication, 8th ed.
  • Collegiate dictionary
  • Recommended: Ellsworth and Higgins' English Simplified
  • Strongly recommended: positive attitude
