Unit 1: Scars

Choose a physical, emotional, or psychological scar that is meaningful to you. Write an essay in which you narrate the events that caused your scar, and then analyze the significance of the scar. What did you learn from the experience? What does the scar represent or reveal about you?

Hint: Your thesis or central idea for this essay should be related to the significance of this scar or the lesson you learned from this experience.
