Mr. Kurt Conover,
Acting Vice President of Administrative Services
Kurt W. Conover grew up in a small town in Iowa and is the only one in his family of seven children to leave the state of Iowa.
After working at the University of Kansas and Iowa State University, Kurt and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Arizona in 1987. Kurt worked for Arizona State University from 1987 to 1989 as the Business Manager for the ASU Alumni Association. In 1989, he was hired by Maricopa Community College District and held several positions in the Business Services area at the District Office.
In 1997, he came to Mesa Community College and worked in the Financial/Budget area for the college. He has held various positions at MCC including Dean of Administrative Services and Interim Vice President for Administrative Services (three times!). In addition, he held the position of Interim Vice President for Administrative Services at Paradise Valley Community College during the 2007-2008 academic year.
His education includes a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Dakota and a M.Ed (Education Administration) from Arizona State University.
Kurt is a member of the Society for College and University Planning, National Association of College & University Business Officers, Community College Business Officers, and Association of College Administration Professionals.
