Coordinator of Public Relations and Special Events
Heather Miles serves as coordinator of Public Relations and Special Events for both comprehensive campuses. She provides leadership for the majority of MCC’s community, administrative, and student recognition events, as well as consultation for other college workshops and conferences and many public relations initiatives. Heather previously served as media relations coordinator and special events assistant for the IA office.
Since joining the team in 2002 she has worked on several high-profile political and international visits including: George W. Bush’s 2004 visit, Governor Janet Napolitano’s annual visits, Senator John McCain, Robert Kennedy and many others. In addition, Heather serves as chair for the statewide All –Arizona student recognition event and lead for the college’s Employee Recognition and Social Committees.
Prior to MCC, Heather worked with E.B.Lane Marketing Communications, the largest advertising and public relations agency in Phoenix. There she gained experience with prestigious local and national clients. Heather also previously worked for Northern Arizona University’s Marketing Department overseeing Summer School and Statewide marketing.
