It's time to think about Fall 2008
It's April, and we are on the downhill side of the spring semester. I hope that you're all doing well in your classes and have already completed your Honors project or are in the process of doing so. If you have any questions about the status of your Honors project, please contact your instructor immediately.
Registration is in full swing for Fall '08. If you have not already registered, please see an advisor as soon as possible and make certain to include an Honors class in your selections. I have attached a list of the Honors-only classes that have been created for this fall. These classes will conducted in a seminar format and will be a rewarding academic experience. Read more here
The Honors Office can help you with your registration needs.
Make sure you choose your honors class and apply for Honors Fee Waivers.
If for some reason you have not gotten into an honors class OR you are new to the Honors Program and
are still waiting for an honors section, please contact me for the information you need to complete this task.
It is still not too late to switch to an honors section. The drop/add process is the Student's Responsibility.
Procedures for Student Compliance with Proposition 300
The Maricopa Community Colleges have announced the procedures they are using to comply with Proposition 300.
The Colleges' efforts to comply with the law mean that students are being asked to provide information about their citizenship or legal status. To qualify for in-state tuition and state financial assistance, students must provide documentation as proof of lawful presence in the United States. Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, an Arizona driver license or ID card issued after 1996, and official immigration papers. Students who successfully complete the federal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will not need to show additional proof of citizenship.
