You should begin writing your reflective journal as soon as you begin your placement. Write in your journal after each day that you are at your site. Write about your experience in both an objective and subjective view.
First, give a brief objective account of what you did and what you observed. Next is the subjective part, which takes more time. Describe your feelings and perceptions, questions and ideas about things that happened. What was the most satisfying part of what you did? What was the most challenging? What was your contribution? What did you feel?
