Joelyn Boone was a multiple-sport athlete (Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track, and Tennis) while an undergraduate at Phoenix Central High School, Mesa Community College, and Arizona State University. That included playing on MCC's 1977 national championship vollvyball team. She was also a member of the national champion Belmont Shore Rugby Club and has added raquetball and triathlons to her list of athletic accomplishments. She has been a coach, teacher, and fitness instructor for the past 26 years.
