MIKE JACOBS - Interim Head Coach
Coach MIKE JACOBS brings a multitude of experience at the college level. A native of Berea, Ohio, Jacobs received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University and his Master's from Bowling Green State University.
As a player at Wittenberg, Jacobs' teams went unbeaten his junior and senior year, and his team ranked #1 in the country in Division II.
He began coaching at Bowling Green in 1974 before moving on to Ashland, Toledo, West Virginia, then to Ohio State, where he served on John Cooper's staff. That Buckeye team finished #2 in the nation in 1997, defeating Arizona State and Jake Plummer in the Rose Bowl. After Ohio State, Jacobs moved on to Oklahoma State prior to delving into player devolopment and recruitment for a few years.
In all, Coach Jacobs has been on staffs that participated in 13 bowl games, including the aforementioned '97 Rose Bowl, as well as the '89 Fiesta Bowl.
