Coach Sal Galvano

SAL GALVANO • Men’s Soccer Coach

SAL GALVANO is entering his second year as men’s soccer coach. A native of New York State, Galvano played collegiately at Canisius and SUNY Brockport and trained with the professional Buffalo Blizzards and Rochester Raging Rhinos.

He began coaching at the age of 20 in the Olympic Development Program. He was an assistant at Genesee Community College from 1998 through 2002 during which time the Cougars attained Top 20 national rankings three consecutive years. For the past three years he has been head women’s coach at Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, Texas and his 2005 squad was the NJCAA Division III National runner-up. He coached 18 All-Region players, four NJCAA All-Americans, and seven NSCAA 1st-Teamers at Cedar Valley. Galvano serves on the Women's Soccer Coaches Association National Board, is Chair of the NJCAA Division III All-Americans, and also sits on several NSCAA and NJCAA committees.
