Welcome:
Wise People from every age have recognized that education is the cornerstone of a strong and prosperous society.
A person with an education has a greater potential to make economic, artistic, social, and intellectual contributions to their families and communities. A community that supports education is more attractive to potential businesses and taxpayers because it can offer an educated and skilled workforce and a higher quality of life. Every day, Mesa Community College (MCC) provides education and opportunities to thousands of individuals in our community. For many people in our community, financial limitations keep higher education just beyond reach.
You can help change this situation by establishing a scholarship that can bridge the financial gap for many. They can help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, or related expenses like childcare and transportation. By making a gift to create a scholarship you strengthen the foundation of our society and keep the door of opportunity open wide for everyone.
Your gift can be used to establish several different types of scholarships, and there are a number of things to keep in mind as you plan a gift.
- On average full time students at MCC pay from $1600 to $2000 a year in tuition, books and fees plus related expenses like childcare and transportation that vary by student.
- You can set application criteria such as financial need, grade point average, academic performance, or area of interest.
- Gifts can also be made to any of MCC's existing scholarship accounts which award scholarships to students throughout the year based on the pre-established criteria.
- If you would like to participate in the selection process for your scholarship, arrangements can be made.
- Your gift is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
The Development Office is located in the Kirk Student Center in the center of the Southern & Dobson campus. Look for the clock tower. see a map
All scholarships are financially administered by the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation , a 501 (c) 3 organization that receives and manages gifts from private donors to all the Maricopa Colleges. A volunteer board of community, business and civic leaders manages the Foundation's assets. Annual audits from the Foundation are available for review. |
