2007 Edward H. Snider Memorial Scholarship Recipients:
These are the first students to receive the Edward H. Snider Memorial Scholarship that was established in September 2006. Ed Snider was a long time Business Department faculty member who fought a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. The scholarship was established to honor his memory and his life-long contribution to education. The students who were selected to receive the scholarship had this to say:

I am really honored to receive this award, [it] has encouraged me to study harder and become successful in my academic career. I am an out-of-state student, ... as such, I usually cannot afford to enroll in more than two classes per semester. I know I have a long way ahead of me, but with my hard work and patience I am confident that I will be able to achieve my goal.

Darshan DiasAbeysinghe, Scholarship Recipient, Spring 2007

Thank you for giving me the honor of becoming the Spring 2007 scholarship recipient. [This] award will motivate me to better myself academically. I will be motivated to achieve more in my academic aspirations, as I know that my achievements have not gone unnoticed.
