Scanning Using MCC Southern/Dobson Lab: HP Scanjet 5P

• Locate computer BAL11
• Turn on the scanner (button on the right side near the back of the scanner)
• Lift the scanner cover
• Align your photo with the green arrow (top right hand corner)
• Close the scanner cover
• If the computer is off, turn it on. If it is on, restart it (Select Start à shut down), then log in to the computer.
• Place your USB or floppy disk into the computer
• Select Start à All Programs à Accessories à Scanner and Camera Wizard
  

• Click Next twice to display the Picture & Name Destination window

• Type in the file name (for CIS105: YourName_Sec#, ie. Smith1111.jpg)
• (Keep the .jpg file format)
• Click Browse and select the drive on which you want to save the file Then click Next (the photo will be scanned)
• Click Next to accept the default
• Click Finish. (Your file is now on your disk.)
• Turn off the scanner
• Upload through the WebCT dropbox.
