Final Reflection Paper: CIS 105

What is a Reflection Paper?

It  involves reflecting and summarizing a student’s self-assessment of accomplishments and challenges encountered of the skills and concepts learned

Assignment:

Using Word, prepare a 1-2 page typed paper reflecting on the overall learning components of the class.  Include the following:

  • Compare and contrast to your original comments about the expectations that were listed in the Course Expectations Paper (from the beginning of the semester). 

  • Include a statement about your learning style - what is the most effective way for you to learn (hearing, visual presentation, hands-on application, etc.)?  Which is the least effective method for you?

  • Provide a reflection on what you like the best about the course, the least, what should be changed

  • How will you use these computer skills learned in the future?

  • How did presenting your PowerPoint project in front of your peers helped you?

  • Major challenges faced and skills learned.

  • Any  other constructive comments that you would like to share.

Formatting Guidelines:

  • Use Microsoft Word

  • 1-inch top/bottom/left/right margins

  • Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, and first line of each paragraph indent .5 inch.

  • No grammatical or spelling errors.

  • Each of the questions answered within the paper should be easily identified, using bullets, bold text, etc.  For example:  What I have learned in this class.   I have learned how to….

Tips for This Assignment:  Be sure to label each of your assignment as follows (just type it at the top of the page before answering the questions):

Save the file as YourLastName-Refection (i.e. Smith-Reflection). Upload to the Dropbox (do not send through email). then submit the file. (Instructions for using the Dropbox can be found in the Course Info section in WebCT.)
