John Beshk has taught in the Maricopa District for over 10 years. Johnny B, as his friends
call him, is currently on a One-Year-Only (OYO) assignment teaching Real Estate classes
and developing Real Estate Appraiser curriculum here in the Department of Business
and Information Systems.
A Southern California native, John has resided in the East Valley since 1986. He earned a BS in Finance from DePaul University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. John is a certified Real Estate Instructor as well as a Real Estate Broker. He is the principal of The Beshk Group, Inc. and, in his spare time, supervises 35 active Salespersons and Associate Brokers. John belongs to the Real Estate Educators Association, the National Association of Realtors, the Arizona Association of Realtors, the South East Valley Regional Association of Realtors, and the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service. John has coached youth football, basketball and baseball as part of his volunteer service to the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley, and he also served on the Auxillary Board for that organization. He enjoys fitness and golf, and rarely a day passes without John going for a long run or swim. He recently completed the P.F. Changs’ Rock & Roll Half Marathon (again) and he fully intends to enter, and finish, the Arizona Ironman competition in November, 2009, an event that combines an exhausting 2.4 mile swim, a bike ride of 112 miles, and then a full 26.2 mile marathon, one event right after the other. When asked what he hopes to be doing in 5 to 10 years, John replies he “hopes to be active in the development of online Real Estate education”. He says the most interesting place he has ever been is Tikehau, a small remote island in the Tumatu chain of French Polynesia. The thing he likes most about MCC is “the unbelievable support I receive from Faculty and Staff members. They Rock!!!” John loves to spend time with his wife, Mickie and their two children, Andrew (22) and Ashley (19). They have two cats and never miss an episode of “Desperate Housewives” on Sunday night. John, Mickie and their family make their home in Gilbert.
