Brenda Nielsen is a 15 year veteran faculty member in the MCC Business Department.
She teaches classes in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Business/Personal Computers (BPC),
Business Technology for the Office (BTO) and Office Automation Systems (OAS).
Prior to MCC, Brenda previously worked at Palm Beach Community College in Florida as
well as Rio Salado, Phoenix College and with the MCCCD Training Services department.
Brenda received her Masters degree from Florida Atlantic University. She is Microsoft certified in MS Office products, served as a Microsoft National Faculty Mentor from 2000 to 2002, is a member of the Arizona Business Educators Association (ABEA), and serves on the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) Business Advisory Council.
Brenda was one of the “founding faculty” members for the new MCC at Red Mountain campus and teaches full time at that facility. She was honored as the 2001 “Teacher of the Year” at Red Mountain.
In addition to her teaching duties, Brenda stays active as a volunteer for community groups and her son’s elementary school. She ranks New Zealand and Australia as the most interesting places she has ever visited. Brenda really enjoys the many people she works with, including all her friends and colleagues at the Red Mountain campus.
