Business Department Student Workers 2005

Business Department Student Workers 2005 Colleen Norris (center) is in her 15th year with MCC including the past seven years as the Administrative Secretary for the Business Department. Her student staff this semester includes (from left to right), Latron, Stacy, Jake, Terry, and Jamo.

Latron Hickson is a Business major from Key West, FL. He plays defensive back for the Thunderbirds (#19). This is his second year at MCC. Latron’s favorite food is pizza. He is impressed with the Grand Canyon but doesn’t like the hot summers in Arizona. He hopes to transfer to a 4-year university after he graduates from MCC.

Stacy Weppler, a sophomore Business major, was raised in Benson, AZ, a one stoplight town at the time. Although she enjoys being the wife of Tom and mother of three (ages 16, 12 and 6), she recently returned to school with plans to become an Administrative Assistant. By next May, Stacy will complete CCL’s as an Office Administrative Professional and as a Microsoft Office Specialist. Her hobbies include shopping, sudoku puzzles and going to the movies. She loves water fountains and has six in her home.

Terry Miles is a native of Washington state but has lived in many places. She is a sophomore, working on her AAS degree in Business. A mother of 3, she is preparing to run her own appliance repair business someday. She enjoys crossword and jigsaw puzzles and watching movies. An interesting fact about Terry: she started college at age 45.

Jake Carrasco , also a sophomore Business major, is from Florence, AZ. Jake is preparing to become a computer expert. He plays defensive end for the Thunderbirds (#92) and hopes to continue his studies at NAU in Flagstaff after his MCC career. Jake loves to eat starbursts. The most fun place he has ever been is Rocky Point during spring break.

Jamison (Jamo) Smith, a freshman from Cincinnati, is working toward a degree in International Business. He plays receiver for the Thunderbirds (#7) and hopes to continue his studies at ASU or another 4-year university. His favorite foods are chicken wings and waffles, and he loves listening to music. He has found that living on his own is a challenge but appreciates how “free-spirited” people in Arizona seem to be.
