Participants are required to enroll in 7 credit hours from the following courses, with one being EDU282 or SWU282.

| EDU282AA Volunteerism for Education: A Service Learning Experience Instructor: Dr. Nora Amavisca Reyes (480-461-7781) (1 credit).- Service learning field experience within educational systems. Includes visits to various schools in Xalapa and participation at a designated site working with teachers and students. |
| SWU282AA Volunteerism for Social Work: A Service Learning Experience Instructor: Sue McAleavey (480-461-7074) (1 credit) - Service learning field experience within educational systems. Includes visits to various schools in Xalapa and participation at a designated site working with teachers and students. |
| EDU230 Cultural Diversity in Education Instructor: Dr. Nora Amavisca Reyes (480-461-7781) (3 credits) - Examination of the relationship of cultural values to the formation of self-concept and learning styles. Examination of the role of prejudice, stereotyping and cultural incompatibilities in education. Emphasis on preparing teachers to offer an equal educational opportunity to students of all cultural groups. Note: Fulfills bilingual and ESL endorsement course requirement. |
