ACI, part of the Phoenix Art Museum, is one of six comprehensive historic costume collections in the nation.

The best know collection is at the Metropolitan Museum in New York—but ACI is making a name for itself under the direction of Fashion Design Curator Dennita Sewell. Her last two exhibits, Motorcycle Jackets and Trench Coats, received national acclaim. Currently an original Channel beaded gown from 1929 is on exhibition at the MET as part of their Channel exhibit. ACI is only one of four chosen for this honor.

ACI offers monthly fashion related events and speakers. Student membership is available for $25 and most events are free. Students can participate in a variety of events surrounding exhibit openings.
