mcc sewing classes

IF YOU:

  • are a beginner
  • know very little about sewing
  • have little or no experience with a sewing machine
  • have a basic knowledge of sewing
  • know how to use a sewing machine
  • are self-taught but want professional guidance
  • want to learn how to make your projects look better
  • have difficulty making clothes that fit
  • want to improve pattern fitting techniques
  • need to be able to fit various body shapes & sizes
  • are training to be a dressmaker
  • have already taken TEC 111 but feel that you
    need more practice before tackling harder
    techniques or more advanced classes
  • want to learn how to use a serger

From these skill-builder classes where you learn the fundamentals, you can build your sewing skills by taking these other classes:

Sewing and clothing construction classes are available to both fashion majors and our community that just wants to learn to sew and create their own wardrobe. We also have the faculty to teach any level of sewing in American Sign Language.
