The Mortuary Science Library is equipped with an on-line computer for Internet research. Also a collection of books specializing in: anatomy, mortuary law, chemistry, history of funeral service, grief, psychology and counseling, and restorative art techniques are available. A collection of audio visual tapes/CDs and current industry periodicals are catalogued in this library. |
Our class room is designed to enhance the learning experience of the students. The seating capacity is about 30 to 40 student, with comfortable padded chairs. Modern media technology available includes VHS/DVD, CD, and online viewing via a multimedia projector which may also be used in Power Point presentations. Anatomical charts and models also add to this learning environment. |
Merchandising Lab /Chapel
This combination room is designed to demonstrate the different types of caskets, the various components of caskets, as well as proper display techniques for funeral merchandise. Remove the caskets and other funeral merchandise, add rows of chairs, and instantly you have a chapel. Many mock funeral services have been conducted in this chapel as the students learn how to direct various types of funeral services of various cultural and religious traditions.

| Preparation/Embalming Room
Our preparation / embalming room is equipped with the most updated equipment, instruments, and chemicals available. This room also is OSHA compliant for safe operation. The students use this room as an anatomical dissection lab to locate and dissect various arteries that are used in the embalming process. |
Restorative Art Laboratory
In the restorative art lab the students learn "hands-on" methods and techniques for facial reconstruction and the application of cosmetics to restore a natural shape and overall apppearance. This room has up-to-date equipment and supplies. |
Crematory Retort
This crematory retort is located on the mortuary school site. Fully licensed by the Arizona Funeral Board and EPA certified, our crematory is fully functional in its operations to cremate human remains. Operated by a contracted licensed crematory operator, the students become aquainted with the crematory operation and the cremation process. Special seminars are conducted annually for students seeking to be licensed as cremationists in the State of Arizona. |
