Music Department Philosophy

Music is a form of self expression. Through course work and performance, you have an opportunity to discover the inner self, to develop your talents and to bring music to the enjoyment of others.

The performance of music is one of the oldest art forms and expresses a rich tradition of which you can become a part. Music is a window to other cultures and eras and affords the opportunity to learn about present-day culture.
