- MM in Voice from from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- DMA in Voice from Southewestern Baptist Theological Seminary
- Studied voice with Dr. Jack Coldiron and Dr. James McKinney and conducting with Dr. Robert Burton, Dr. Joseph King and Dr. David Keith
- His choirs have performed such major works as Bach’s Magnificat, Handel’s Messiah, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Brahm’s Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem and Magnificat, Borodin’s Polovetsian Dances just to name a few of the major works his groups have done. They have also work with Dr. Paul Salumunovich – Director of the LA Master Chorale, Dr. Linda Mack – Director of the Sante Fe Desert Chorale, Maestro Gordon Johnson – Director of the Great Falls Symphony and The Mesa Symphony orchestras, Dr. David Stocker – Professor Emeritus ASU, Dr. John Leavitt – American composer and conductor and the late Dr. Doug McEwen – Director of Choral Activities at ASU for over 25 years.
- Recently Dr. Bennett’s Chamber Singers were invited to join with the Chamber Choir from Fort Lewis College in the world premier of two new works for percussion ensemble and choir at the Percussive Arts Society’s International Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Bennett is active in NATS and ACDA and has been an adjudicator for the Arizona NATS auditions and has served as a guest clinician for several regional choral workshops in Arizona. |
| Points of Interest |
- In addition to his busy schedule with the choirs at Mesa College, he also continues to pursue his career as a tenor soloist, singing frequently throughout Arizona and the Southwest.
