Vocal Music Performance Ensembles
The MCC Vocal/Choral Music Program includes the following performance groups (photos).
A Cappella Choir- This is a mixed choir of approximately 40-60 members designed to emphasize choral technique and performance of all styles or choral literature. Public performances are scheduled during the year including the concert tour. Auditions may be required. Director - Craig Peterson
Chamber Singers - Practical and performance experience in various styles of vocal music. Open to all students on the basis of auditions. 16-21 members. Director- Craig Peterson
Canto Vivo - Advanced Choir meets in Central Phoenix made up of experienced and/or professional vocalists- by audition Director - Craig Peterson
Vocal Jazz Ensemble - Practical and performing experinece in vocal jazz. Includes music from the 1920's through the present. Auditions required. 9-16 members Director - Craig Peterson
Sun Valley Chorale - Community Choir at the Red Mountain campus. 50-70 members Director- Glenn Bennett
Red Mountain Chamber Singers - A Cappella at Red Mountain campus 10-18 members Director- Glenn Bennett
Cantilena - Advanced Choir at Red Mountainmade up of experienced and/or professional vocalists- by audition Director - Glenn Benett
