Scholarships

The MCC Music Department offers a variety of financial aid possibilities related directly to the music program in the way of scholarships.


Talent/Activity Scholarships (up to $650 per year)



  • full-time students
  • both in-state and in-county residents
  • high school graduates
  • involved with performance ensembles

Private Instruction Scholarships (up to $1,076 per year)

  • full-time students
  • enrolled in the music major core classes
  • and/or involved with performance ensembles (upon the recommendation of faculty)

Maricopa Foundation Scholarships (up to $2,000 per year) information here

MCC Outstanding Performer Scholarships

  • Competition for these scholarships are held in the Spring semester for application to the student's account for the following Fall semester.

Specialty Scholarships
Students who do not qualify for the above scholarships due to non-residential status may be considered for specialty scholarships for their involvement in performance ensembles.

Non-Monetary Service Learning opportunities are available for students to receive hands-on experience related to the music area connected to individual student interest. Students may receive up to 3 credits through the Service Learning Department.

Scholarship auditions are held in the Spring and Fall semesters. There are separate auditions for the Southern/Dobson and Red Mountain Campuses. Dates and information concerning auditions can be found on the Auditions webpage.
