The SCE Blog

Membership in the SCE includes membership in the SCE Blog. This is an open forum for discussion of engagement in our everyday world. There, we can talk about the things in the news, or things we find on the web, or things people talked about in SCE or in a class or at work.

Everyone can read and respond to the thoughts expressed in the Blog. Members also have access to start new conversation threads. To do that, though, you will have to register for the blog. Shortly after joining SCE, you will receive an invitation in your email. Click the link to accept the invitation. You will be taken to a page where you give a username and a password Then click on the Engagement link.

Rules to Remember

  • Posts can explore anything, but they should be expressed to emphasize Engagement, not confrontation or debate.

  • We don’t want to drive people away from Engagement over language. Blog posts should avoid any vulgar language.

  • The Blog Administrators (Nicole Ellsworth and Tom Shoemaker) will monitor the Blog. If a post doesn’t fit these guidelines, we will pull it down, but not with the intent of stopping the conversation. We will notify you by email, and ask if you could rephrase your post and repost. Please don’t be offended – we want your voice, so we want to work with you to get it out there.
