What do I need to start working out?

You will need a current student ID, you will need to be registered for a class, you will need to complete a new student orientation, and you will need to wear proper athletic attire


Where do I get a student ID?

Student IDs are available from the Student Activities office in the Kirk Center - the center of campus.

How do I sign up for a class?

You can register online using the "touchnet" system. You can stop into Registration and sign up in person, or drop by the HIC, GAC or Fitness Centers and we can help you.

Why do I need a new student orientation?

We need to be sure you understand the difference in a Letter Grade and a P/Z option. You will also be shown how to properly use equipment, as well as told the etiquette and behavior expected of you as a student.

What is proper attire?

No tank tops with "spaghetti straps. No "thongs" or torn "half" shirts. No "revealing" attire of any type. No offensive language or imagery on clothing of any kind. Closed toe athletic type footwear is mandatory for any workout.

May I use my cellphone while I am working out?

No. No cellphone use in the centers. Please turn phones to silent or vibrate. If you must take a call - please do so outside.
