Get Started!
- First things first
- you must register as a student.
- you must have a student ID card.
- you must decide if you are taking a letter grade or a Pass/No credit option
- Classes
- you may sign up for PED 115 which entitles you to use all three activity centers
- you may sign up forPED 120 AF which entitles you to use all three activity centers
- employees and staff may wish to sign up for PED 115 - email Jim Haggerty at Southern and Dobson or Dave Gerlach at Red Mountain to maintain or improve your fitness level.
- What are the rules?
- all new students must complete an orientation prior to their first work out.
- students in a graded section must complete the required number of hours of physical activity plus any additional components specific to your class to receive a passing letter grade [A, B]
- only registered students may use the facilities and equipment
- you must wear appropriate attire and shoes to participate
- you may need to store your personal items while working out. We have lockers available for your use

- complete your Student Health Assessment and bring with you to your first class meeting
- students may be required to provide a Physician's Medical Clearance Form if they are currently on any medications or being treated for any of the following health conditions:
- asthma
- hypertension / high blood pressure
- diabetes
- arthritis (osteo or rheumatoid)
- cardiac care
- Adaptive physical fitness needs
- pregnancy
- post-trauma or injury
