Completion of a 60,000 square foot
new home for the Physical Science Department is scheduled
for Aug, 2008. The construction of this major new facility
is supported by funds made available by the MCCD Capital
Bond Program that voters approved in November of 2004.
In addition to new lecture and laboratory spaces, the
new building will include student tutoring and study areas;
faculty and department offices; a 48 seat planetarium,
the first of its kind in the city of Mesa; and classrooms
and laboratories that are designed to promote collaboration
among students, faculty and staff.
The new Physical Science building will open for classes
fall 2008. Check back frequently for more up to date images of the construction. For more information check out our flyer or contact the Physical Science Deptartment.
