New Building for Physical Science

Ground breaking for a 60,000 square foot new home for the Physical Science Department is scheduled for May, 2007. The construction of this major new facility is supported by funds made available by the MCCD Capital Bond Program that voters approved in November of 2004.

In addition to new lecture and laboratory spaces, the new building will include student tutoring and study areas; faculty and department offices; a 48 seat planetarium, the first of its kind in the city of Mesa; and classrooms and laboratories that are designed to promote collaboration among students, faculty and staff.

The new Physical Science building will open for classes fall 2008. Click here to see a series of artist renderings of the new building or contact the Physical Science Department for more information.  For an impromptu tour of the building currently under construction, click here.
