Each semester, students enrolled in Dr. Preisser's NetSection of Psy240 will expand this site by editing and creating new pages. Our goal is to provide an informative and fun site about the wonderful world of human development.
Dr. Preisser's goal is to provide an assignment that has everyone working in teams, surfing the internet, and creating links and pages. It's fun, and educational. Really! Ask the students.
The content of the NetLetter is the result of the efforts of many students. They know who they are, and what they've contributed. Dr. Preisser does her best to keep up with everybody, offer suggestions, and to examine the links and content for merit.

Developmental psychology is a subfield of psychology. Scholars in the field examine physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development across the lifespan. The lifespan view argues that we are changing and developing from conception through death. In studying development, researchers rely on developmental theories. These theoretical perspectives provide frameworks for developing research questions which are then explored through the method of scientific inquiry.
