The Loving Touch

"Touching and being touched are among the most important experiences in life." - Tiffany Field

Of all the experiences one has in a lifetime touch and love have to be two of the most essential and significant. With these actions working together they can help people form emotional bonds as well as aid in communication. Love seems to know no boundaries, being needed in each developing stage of our lives, from prenatal all the way to our more mature years. This touch and love relationship has now been researched for more than twenty years with research being lead by Tiffany Field, PhD. Her research has lead to the focused concern for the development, health, and well-being of premature infants. "Touch is important to all of us. It's value in health, development, and healing should encourage all of us to make touch an important part of our daily lives."- Tiffany Field
