Welcome to Physical Education at Mesa Community College!

Mesa Community College’s physical education program at both Southern and Dobson and Red Mountain campus offers a variety of group fitness, leisure dance, leisure and outdoor sport activities, martial arts, Lifetime Fitness and sports performance enhancement classes, which focus on promoting, developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by incorporating physical activity and movement into our daily lives, no matter what your age, from young adults to senior citizens.

Our faculty and staff are trained to continually support, challenge and engage their students to participate in life-long activity. Taught by experienced faculty, there to assist you in your learning and activity endeavors, choose from a variety of course offerings which include Aerobics, Ballroom Dance, Bowling, Fencing, Golf, Hiking, Indoor Cycle, Pilates, Rock Climbing, Scuba, Taekwondo, Tai Chi, Tango, Tap, Volleyball, Zumba, Yoga to name a few!

All beginning level activity classes are designated under level 101, Intermediate level 102, Advanced level 201, followed by the identifying module code: For example, beginning level body sculpt will be under PED 101BS, or Intermediate level Hip Hop is under PED 102HH, Advanced level Weight Training is PED 201WT.
