Curriculum will process a course adoption form and send it to your chair and the dean of instructions for their approval. In some cases, it isn't feasible to adopt courses that require a great deal of money to implement and support. There are many more courses in our districtwide coursebank than we currently offer at our college. Before we can place a course in our college schedule, it has to be formally adopted, which is a very simple matter. Contact your chair and your instructional council representative to initiate a course adoption.
With approval from the chair and the dean of instruction, Curriculum will place your course adoption on the next college curriculum committee meeting agenda.
This is for information purposes only-the committee will not approve or disapprove your course adoption, and you will not have to attend the meeting to defend your course adoption.
As soon as this is done, your chair can add the course to upcoming course schedules and catalogs.
