There are many more courses in our district wide course listing than we currently offer at our college. Before we can place a course in our college schedule, it has to be formally adopted, which is a very simple matter.
- Contact your chair and ask him or her to contact Jan Rohloff by email jan.rohloff@mesacc.edu to initiate a course adoption.
- Jan will process a course adoption form and send it to your chair and the dean of instructions for their approval. In some cases, it isn't feasible to adopt courses that require a great deal of money to implement and support.
- With approval from the chair and the dean of instruction, Jan will place your course adoption on the next college curriculum committee meeting agenda. This is for information purposes only-the committee will not approve or disapprove your course adoption, and you will not have to attend the meeting to defend your course adoption.
- That's it! As soon as this is done, your chair can add the course to upcoming course schedules and catalogs.
