Origin and Description:

The MCC administration assembled a team in the summer of 2004 to create a long-term plan for the redesign and future maintenance of MCC’s website.

Prior to the 2004-05 Winter Break, this Redesign Committee was given permission from the MCC administration to proceed with elements of the resulting plan. A key component of this plan was the creation of an Oversight Committee consisting of representatives from the faculty, Student Services, Institutional Advancement, Information Technology, and the student body.

Based on suggestions from the Redesign Committee and the MCC administration, the Oversight Committee was formed and began meeting January 13, 2005. The Oversight Committee meets every Thursday and is currently implementing Phase I of the website redesign plan.

Committee’s Responsibilities:

The primary charge of this committee includes the following:

• Implement plan for redesign and maintenance of MCC website
• Establish bylaws and structure, including committee members' length of service
• Conduct continuing review of MCC website
• Advise webmaster on priority of redesign and new projects
• Hear concerns regarding the website from the MCC community
