Education: Masters of Education in Multicultural/Bilingual Education and a Bachelors of Science in Urban Planning
Ida is the Director of International Education at Mesa Community College. She was born and raised in Iran. Ida left her country of birth in the mid-80’s and lived in Europe for a while before moving to Arizona.
Prior joining MCC International Education in 1996, she worked as a planner in an environmental consulting company. She loves to travel and has traveled to many countries. She enjoys meeting people of other cultures and learning languages. In her spare time, Ida enjoys reading, watching foreign films, and attending the cultural activities organized in the Valley. Education: Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Global Management and a Bachelors of Science in Business and Management
Lisa has worked in the international arena for nearly 20 years in both the public and private sectors in the U.S. and Mexico, including the Arizona-Mexico Commission, the State of Sonora, Mexico, Pima Community College Office of International Projects and the City of Tucson's Tucson-Mexico Trade Office. Prior to coming to MCC, Lisa worked in the Maricopa Community College District Office of International and Intercultural Education.
Lisa feels one of the best aspects of working in international education is the opportunity to meet people from around the world and bring the world to our communities here in the U.S. She is originally from Douglas, Arizona; has traveled to 12 countries (and counting); enjoys cooking, reading, movies, cultural events, camping and playing with her 2 dogs.

Education: Master’s in Education in Bilingual/Multicultural Education – Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona and a Bachelor’s of Art in International and Cultural Studies – Tsuda College, Tokyo, Japan
Emi was born and raised in Japan. After graduating from Tsuda College in Tokyo, Japan, she took to international travelling. She would occasionally return to Japan to earn money by teaching English as a Second Language and interpreting for major manufacturing companies. She has spent over 4 years exploring more than 25 countries and regions and hopes to visit Nagaland, India in the near future.
Emi has been an international student advisor at Mesa Community College since 2001. She is a local ethnic restaurant expert and takes advantage of her position as an international student advisor so that she can get the best information from her students.
Emi has been working on her second Master’s degree in Library Science and hopes to continue assisting students in community college.

Mary Ann was born in Austin, Texas but has lived in various states and overseas ("military brat"; father was in the Air Force). Mary Ann joined International Education in January 2007 from Atlanta, Georgia. Her interests include travel, ethnic foods, dance and photography. One of Mary Ann's goals is to attend law school, become an immigration attorney and continue to assist international students.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis
on Organizational Communication and a focus on Environmental
Studies and a Certificate in International Tourism Management
Yvonne began her career at MCC in 1999 providing support to the
senior administrators on the planning team at the Red Mountain
campus, helping to open the campus in the fall of 2001. In 2004
she joined the Institutional Advancement (IA)team as a Public Relations Assistant at
Red Mountain supporting MCC's one college-two campus model
acting as liaison to all IA departments at the Southern and
Dobson campus. Yvonne joined the International Education team
in the fall of 2007. She loves interacting with people of all
cultures and became passionate about international education
after living with a host family for three weeks in Costa Rica
during a Spanish immersion education abroad program.

Trini was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and has been working in the Maricopa Community College District for over 12 years and at MCC in International Education for the last 5 years.
