Description: Description: From Duke Wencelas to Vaclav Havel; from Jan Trojan Turnovsky to Antonín Dvorák; from Václav Hájek to Jaroslav Seifert; and from King Charles IV to Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek, this session's courses will concentrate on the musical, literary, economic and political contributors that shaped modern day Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Central Europe. In Prague, the “City of 100 Spires”, students will be able to explore over 1000 years of history, architecture, castles, churches and music venues of one of the most enchanted cities in the world. Finding hidden gardens, having coffee at an out of the way café, watching Don Giovanni or La Clemenza di Tito at the original theatre at which they debuted and enjoying multiple festivals and various town squares throughout the city are a few of the adventures that students will be able to enjoy in their leisure time.
