Construction of the Mesa Community College physical plant (the buildings) were completed in several stages starting in 1965 through 1975. All of the original campus hase been in place and operating since before the technology revolution of the 1980s and '90s.

Now as we begin 2001, it is past time to upgrade and replace many of the existing wiring, telephone, and data connections which has served us for years. The ITS department is retrofitting and replacing classrooms and offices on campus determined to be in greater demand/need by virtue of a screening committee chaired by Dr. Christiansen. Also on the calendar for 2001 is the advent of the new Red Mountain facility which will stretch our coverage for maintainence and repair to the limit.

At this time we are completing new wiring in the Records and Registration offices while settling into our temporary Helpdesk home.
