Mesa Community College (MCC) established the Center for Public Policy and Service in 1992 to coordinate service learning opportunities for students. Based on the efforts of the Center, MCC created the Office of Service Learning in 2000 as an Instructional Department, and restructured the Center for Public Policy (CPP) to focus on community and governmental relations for the college, and to assist the college in building new community partnerships.
