Small & Minority Business Center And Symposium
The Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens (MAHC) is a non-profit organization formed in 1987. The current MAHC Board represents a cross section of the Mesa community and includes community activists, artists, attorneys, public school assistant superintendents, small business owners and government employees.

As a result of community input, MAHC formed an Economic Development team in 2002 in order to address issues related to minority business development in Mesa. In order to provide small and minority- owned businesses with a one-stop shop for technical assistance, MAHC and MCC launched the Small & Minority Business Center in Fall 2004. This Center, operating out of the MCC downtown campus at 145 N Centennial Way Suite 207, is staffed by a coalition of organizations for the purpose of providing technical assistance in Mesa. In November 2004 a Small & Minority Business Symposium was held to further the goal of providing small business owners with the technical assistance and networking needed to be successful.
