MCC celebrates community through active partnerships with many community organizations, including the City of Mesa, the East Valley Partnership, and the United Way. Also, MCC proudly sponsors the Commission on Excellence in Education, an organization of local community leaders and school administrators.
One of MCC's most visible partnerships is with the Mesa-East Valley Rose Society, which has created and maintains the MCC Rose Garden. Recently, the All-America Rose Selections (a national association of rose growers) authorized the results of this partnership as an official Demonstration and Test Garden.
Mesa also offers several special community service programs, such as the New Frontiers program for older adults and the Water Watchers Drowning Awareness Program. MCC's Center for Service-Learning promotes excellence in teaching and learning through the integration of academic study with active service.
An active alumni association coordinated through the Office of Alumni Relations keeps alumni apprised of campus and association news, sponsors fellowship and networking events, recognizes the accomplishments of MCC's alumni, and identifies opportunities for alumni to reconnect with the college and stay involved.
