Alumni Chapters

Alumni are invited and encouraged to stay connected to MCC and the MCCAA through our eight alumni chapters listed below. Each chapter is traditionally formed in relation to an academic program or student club. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for details on our current alumni chapters or for information on forming a new chapter.

Child Development (April 1999 charter)
Chapter goals are to promote continuous education, support and mentor early childhood teachers as professionals, provide awareness of early childhood issues, and encourage collaborations of current and future childhood development alumni on behalf of children.

MCC Black Student Union/African American Unity Coalition
(Oct. 1999 charter)
Chapter goals are to promote a broader understanding of the African-American culture and to mentor and support African-American students at Mesa Community College.

MCC Children’s Center (April 1998 charter)
Chapter goals are to establish, award, and raise funds for the Alumni Child Care Scholarship.

MCC Firefighter’s (Oct. 1997 charter)
Chapter goals are to enhance public education, provide mentoring, establish connections with Valley fire departments, and offer scholarship opportunities.

MCC Sun Valley Chorale (Oct. 1998 charter)
Chapter goals of this community singing group are to provide and promote the experience of joyful music-making for individuals who love to sing.

Mortuary Science (April 1999 charter)
Chapter goals are to mentor and support MCC Mortuary Science students, establish and support the alumni chapter, and promote professionalism and knowledge about the funeral service industry.

Nursing (Nov. 2003 charter)
Chapter goals are to mentor and support chapter members, establish nursing alumni scholarship, provide awareness of emerging issues, and encourage networking.

Psi Beta (Nov. 1999 charter)
Chapter goals are to support, stimulate, encourage, promote, and recognize scholarship in the MCC Psi Beta Student Chapter.
