Proofing Guidelines

Proofing Policy
Proofing is extremely important in the printing process. You as the client, are responsible for proofing and approving all projects you submit to IA Graphic Design before they are sent to the printer. IA is not responsible for anything overlooked in the proofing process (e.g., spelling, punctuation, grammatical errors, etc.).

You are entitled to two proofs and Graphic Design will be happy to make your requested changes, however, excessive changes made to the content and layout of a project after the first proof may result in a missed deadline.

Blueline Proof
The printer provides a final proof called a blueline. This proof is created from the electronic files provided by the designer and ensures that the files have transferred correctly. You, as the client, are required to sign off on the blueline proof provided by the printer. Changes made at this stage of production WILL incur additional charges and should only be limited to major errors. This is NOT the step where detailed proofing occurs; the blueline proof is provided to ensure the printer has followed the layout correctly.

You will receive a schedule with a blueline delivery date and will be contacted for review and signature when the IA office receives it. Any delay in reviewing the blueline may result in a missed deadline.
