There are many service-learning resources available
via the Internet, specifically the World Wide Web (WWW). If you are not
sure if you have appropriate hardware and software to connect to the WWW,
contact the computer services staff at your college for help. The list
below, although not a complete list, will help you get started with some
major Web sites related to service-learning.
American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)
AACC is the primary advocacy organization for the nation's 1,100 two-year
degree granting institutions. Their service web site contains references,
workshop information, and information on AACC service projects.

Campus Compact National Center for Community Colleges
Located within the Maricopa Community Colleges at Mesa Community College,
CCNCCC is the national resource office for community colleges interested
in community service and service-learning.

Campus Outreach Opportunity League (COOL)
COOL is a national non-profit organization that helps college students
start, strengthen, and expand their community service programs.

The Contact Center Network, Inc. is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization
whose mission is to serve and strengthen individuals and organizations

National Service-Learning (K-12) Clearinghouse
The Clearinghouse is a partner in the National Service-Learning Cooperative
(NSLC). As a central repository of information about service-learning programs,
organizations, people, calendar events, and literature/multimedia materials,
the NSLC Clearinghouse provides access to service-learning information
through Information Specialists at a toll-free telephone number (1-800-808-SERVE)
and via the Internet.

National Senior Service Corps
VISTA
Since 1964, over 100,000 Americans have performed national service as
VISTA Volunteers. VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) places individuals
with community-based agencies to help find long-term solutions to the problems
caused by urban and rural poverty. In 1994, VISTA became part of the AmeriCorps
national service program.
