Donna Killian Duffy is professor of psychology and coordinator of the Carnegie Community of Practice at Middlesex Community College, Bedford and Lowell, Massachusetts. She is the coauthor, with Janet Wright Jones, of Teaching Within the Rhythms of the Semester, and the coeditor, with Robert Bringle, of With Service in Mind, an AAHE monograph on service-learning and psychology, published in 1998. She has worked on grants from the Campus Compact National Center for Community Colleges entitled “The Faculty Role: From the Margin to the Mainstream” and "2 + 4 = Service on Common Ground” as well as grants aimed at integrating service-learning into psychology sponsored by Campus Compact and the American Psychological Association.
Donna was selected to participate in the Pew National Fellowship Program for Carnegie Scholars in the 1998-1999 academic year and received the Thomas Ehrlich Faculty Award for Service Learning in 1999 for her work connecting service in the community to student learning in classrooms.
