Rudy M. Garcia is the Director of Experiential Learning at Albuquerque TVI Community College. He began his career at TVI as the Lead Management Instructor in Culinary Arts and developed the TVI Service Learning Program in 1994. In 1999 he won the National Bellwether Award for Service Learning. He created the Department of Experiential Learning in 1997 and was selected by the American Association of Community Colleges to be a National Mentor for Service Learning, Civic Responsibility and Community Partnerships. He is the President of Channel 27 and can be seen hosting his own show called "Faces of Albuquerque." In 1995, he received the Albuquerque People’s Choice Award for Best College Professor and in 1991 received a National Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Texas at Austin. Rudy holds a Bachelor of University Studies Degree and a Master of Arts in Management Degree from the Tulane University, Webster University and University of New Mexico.
