Lewis Jones is the Service Learning Advisor/ Mentor Program Coordinator in the Fire Science Department at Mesa Community College. He has been an adjunct faculty member since 1992. He also sits on the Service Learning Advisory Board at MCC. Lewis also is a full time firefighter with the Phoenix Fire Department for the past 21 years where he holds the rank of Captain. He is a member of the department's Technical Rescue Team and a Tech Search Specialists on the Urban Search and Rescue Team AZ-TF1, formerly under FEMA and now under the Homeland Security Division.

Mr. Jones enjoys hiking the desert mountains in the Phoenix valley area, and finds solace in trout fishing in the northern Arizona lakes and rivers. Lewis' first love is being a single father to his four children (3 girls, 1 boy) and being entertained by his dog, two cats, and a bird.
