Bio for Anthony Mansueto

I am a public intellectual, philosopher, and teacher dedicated to combating the nihilism, despair, and injustice of the present period and to building a democratic, pluralistic public arena constituted by dialogue around fundamental questions of meaning and value. I hold a Ph.D. in Religion and Society from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley and have moved between the academy and the public arena. I have published three books some 25 articles, have taught at colleges throughout the United States and in Mexico, and have lead interfaith community organizing efforts and served as a senior advisor to key religious and political leaders both in the United States and internationally. I currently teach philosophy, religious studies, and history at the University of New Mexico - Gallup and serve as President of Seeking Wisdom, a nonprofit research, education, and organizing institute.
