- Developed community partner relationships by maintaining extensive communication with site coordinators and making visits to evaluate the program.
- Worked with students as they began and as they continued along with the program to help them with their own personal goals for the program and course; developed additional materials that would help to guide them through the process.

- Secured grant funding in the amount of $200 to assist in providing literature for the classroom library and increasing parental involvement through a piloted program, "Parents Read with Your Children".
- Organized an out-of-state field trip for over 40 students to the Baltimore Harbor, Blacks 'n' Wax Museum, and National Aquarium on a budget of $2,000. Worked with the bussing company and travel agency to secure insurance and meals. Coordinated staff chaperones and managed the promotion and finances of the entire trip.
