Location: Kirk Student Center, Main Level, Navajo Room

Mesa Community College. Meet with Department Chairs, Deans, and other faculty members.

We offer day, evening, weekend, short-term, and internet-based classes for university transfer and occupational education. Serving a diverse student population, MCC offers part-time teaching opportunities in a variety of disciplines at its six locations.

Academic disciplines require a Master’s degree from an accredited institution with sufficient hours in the field to be taught. Bring your resume and unofficial copies of your transcripts (optional). Potential opportunities for the Fall 2003 semester in the following areas.

Minimum Requirements for Academic Areas
Minimum Requirements for Occupational Areas
The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university
  • a master's degree in the teaching field, or
  • a master's in any teaching field with 24 upper division and/or graduate semester hours in the teaching field, or
  • a master's in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field.
  • EDU 250 - Overview of the Community Colleges -- or equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire.
The Occupation Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university:
  • the same qualifications as those listed for Academic Teaching Fields, or
  • a bachelor's degree plus 3 years work experience in field to be taught, or
  • an associate's degree or 64 semester hours and 5 years work experience in the field to be taught, or 5 years work experience in the field to be taught.
  • EDU 250 - Overview of the Community Colleges -- or equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire.
